The relationship between author and editor is a sacred one, so here’s a little bit about me.

I am a woman of many interests. Aside from being an editor, I am also a singer/songwriter, a theatre actor, and occasionally an author myself. I love the things most people love: food, my dog, my cat, my family, going outside, laying in bed, traveling, watching tv, reading books, doing crosswords, and hanging out with friends (not necessarily in that order). I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I’ve been living in Nashville, Tennessee since 2010.

My love of editing began around 2012. A friend of mine had drafted a book (one part memoir, one part self-help). To support his work, I offered to read it and give him my feedback, just for fun. As I read, I left lots of comments with suggestions to improve clarity and structure, tighten up grammar and word choice, and help his voice really shine. Not to brag, but he was pretty impressed (and I had a lot of fun doing it). Over the following years, I offered the same to others and unintentionally started a freelance side hustle as a developmental editor. Finally, during the Covid-19 pandemic, I went back to school and got a professional editing certificate from Washington University, just to make things official. I now work full-time as the Developmental Editor for ISC2, an educational nonprofit that trains and certifies cybersecurity professionals. It’s a great job—but novels and memoirs are still my passion.

As an editor and writing coach, my simple mission is to help you tell your story. I enjoy working collaboratively throughout the writing process, and I will always strive to preserve your unique voice as an author while helping to bring clarity, focus, and depth to your work.

If I sound like someone you might enjoy working with, head over to the contact tab to introduce yourself! I’d love to learn more about you and your ideas.
